You are welcome to My Little yet unique Christmas home

I am getting so excited about Christmas. You hear Christmas songs everywhere, buildings all decked out, houses all lit up with beautiful sparkling lights, Santa's out for pictures, Sales everywhere.

I love the kindered hearts of people who are more generous and more forgiving during this time of the year. I love the merriment of parties and friendships. I love the dazzle of the lights and the twinkle in the childs eyes. Oh! how I LOVE Christmas!

My crib in NV is pimped-up and ready for Christmas.

I only took one box of our Christmas decoration to deck out the room.

I'm sure you ladies are feeling the magic and excitement of the season too! Im also sure that your homes are all WHIMSIFIED.

At first I thought we will not have tree here. I have been seaching all over internet for an alternative. I found a couple but I do not have materials to build it. I guess hubby saw me looking it up online.

The following day we took a trip to wal-mart and he got me this cutie. I picked the smallest. We dont have enough space for big trees. I love it still. I got the one with fiber optics.

While browsing the Isle I spotted the miniature trees and lightposts. They are so cute, so I purchased some & placed the tiny xmas tree under my tiny xmas tree (haha only tiny things work here what can i say).

Decorative wax warmer that I got from black friday sale @ wal-mart.

My nativity set.

My Gel Mr. Snow Man

The Stunning Mini Lightpost copy-cat from Amber @ Salt Tree.

My eating area is very bare, so I made something to put on the wall & hung some snowflakes.

White and black posters, scrap garland, fabric, gift wrapper, & skillful hands is all I needed to make the wall Christmas-y.

Hanging Glittered Yuletide Letters with snowflakes & Reindeers.

My coffee table.

You DONT need to spend money for Christmas decorations. It's actually quite easy to make them yourself & the children will love every minute of it. With all the crafty women here in blogland I am sure you will find ideas that will inspire you. Like I did with minimum spending and LOTS of creativity!
The days are marching very fast & there is so much things to do between now and Christmas. Shopping, wrapping, mailing and looking for special recipes for Christmas dinner.
Well I better get back on track with preparing my heart, my house & my family for the great Christmas season.

Thank you for taking a peek and looking through my Unique Christmas Crib.

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM MY HOME TO  YOURS!

Christmas by the window...Gel Mr. Snowman

This is how decorative I can make my tiny space. I have transformed it suited enough for a small room. I do not have enough resources nor enough money to spend on Christmas decors the big stores has to offer. But it only takes creativity, passion & season to make a place Merrier.

I spend most time here in Las Vegas so I decided to take my Nativity set with me. I found a perfect spot for it....by the window.

Like I said, I dont have mantle. So I used the big wall a/c unit to display my Nativity set & use it like a mantle. It works plus it gives me better view in the morning than looking out and seeing cars in the parking lot.

Seeing the set by the window is enough to remind me of what Christmas is about. A reminder that Christmas is when God gave me a gift, the restoration of relationship with him.

Guess what I copy-cat........YUP! The stunning light post in a jar @ SaltTree by Amber.

I fell inlove with it. I cant help but copy. Everyone went crazy over this beautiful project. It was a hit in blogland. I wanted one for my home.
I saw a bunch of light posts @ Wal-mart I got all excited when I saw them because I can finally make one. Problem is I dont have mason jar to put it in. I have this lonely glass from a chandelier and I thought maybe that would work. I just wouldnt shake it.

It didnt have a top or bottom cover so I looked for something I can glue onto the glass that would help hold the artificial snow flurries. I looked in my cupboards and found an empty frosting container. I used the bottom part, cut it out and glued it on the glass.
I sprinkled glitters in it and kinda swirled it around so they would stick on the glass.
Who wouldnt fall in love with that?
It added pizzaz on my mantle I mean my window decoration. OH and also that Santa Suit cone OMG! I totally forgot to bookmark the owner. If anyone of you knows who I should give credit for this cute crafty project PLEASE PLEASE put it on the comment below.

(The picture dont do justice. He is gorgeous upclose & personal!)
I proudly introduce to you.... Mr. Gel snowman.
I have two small fish bowls laying around and I could find a place for them.
I played a bit with it and stack them and thought, that is a snowman shape.
I remembered I have a bunch of gel beads so I thought clear ones would make it look simple yet decorative.

I filled the bowls with clear beads.
Stacked them and glued in place.
I added silver bead strip on it to hide the glue.
I have tinsel left overs, small Christmas balls, short gold ribbon and tons of feather's to decorate him with.
I chose to stick with simple.
I added two blue gel beads for his eyes and red for his nose.
I painted black dot on the outside of the glass to add detail on his eyes.
I originally thought of making his hat out of cardboard but I spotted the lid for one of my candles. I tried to fit it with the opening of the bowl and it fits perfectly. I filled it in with blue beads glued on aluminum foil in the bottom of the lid so it wouldnt fall as I lock it in with the top bowl.

I cut small circles from my gold fabric scrap and glued it on the bowl.  I also used the tealight holder as his stand....
Now I am finally done decorating (I think.).
Meanwhile I can kickback and relax.
Get some rest so I can face another decorating @ my Father-in-law's house....
One day before Christmas Eve.
Have a Happy Holiday Everyone!!!

GLAM your hair up for Christmas

Do you have any festive hairdo for your christmas party yet?

Here are some I found for you.....

 HOPE YOU LIKE THEM!

The FULLness of an empty box

One of the best gifts that I've received on Christmas '09 was coming from my sister. It's a circle box and engraved on it was a bible verse from The Book of Numbers 6:24 "The Lord bless you and keep you". When I wasn't opening the box just yet, I've thought of any material things far more than what was really inside of the box. When I opened the gift, I saw this circle box that has an engraved crucifix in the center. When I opened the box, nothing was inside of it. It's all black. That's when I started realizing that there's something far deeper than what my sister was giving me. It's not just a gift, but a message reminding me that not all things can make me happy. I started thinking how I should be thankful for all the things that God has freely given me. It has thought me to pay attention to the things that I already have because I needed them, not to the things that I needed to have just because I wanted them. At the end of that year, just before my sister left for U.S. again, I texted her saying thank you for the wonderful gift that she has given me. It was a circle box. Nothing was inside of it, though it has full of meaning though. That's when I started feeling how solemn it was to feel the Spirit of Christmas in a very simple way just like that of the circle box. Today is the first day of December and I only have a few more days to count just before I get to see my sister coming home again, and I'm oh so excited to see the new member of our family
Some people would create beautiful ornate packages for a Christmas gift. I myself love wrapping gifts and decorating it with bows and creative tags. For men, it is an obstacle. All they care about is what's inside the package. God's gift did not come in an elaborate packing. It is simple. From a very humble environment. Im not saying this to detract from the beauty of Christmas but to add to the beauty of what God did for us.

A little girl noticed that her mom was really getting etxremely stressed out around Christmas. Everything was bothering her mom and she gets easily irritable.
Evening came and the mom bathed the little girl, got her ready for bed, tucked her under the sheets, and had her say her prayers. She would usually say the Lord's prayer, but on this particular evening, she amended it a little bit.

Her petition went something like this, "Father forgive us our Christmases, as we forgive those who Christmas against us".
This happens when we lose focus of the real meaning of Christmas.
We forget the wonder of it all when we get caught up in the busy-ness of the season. When God came to earth, gave his life for our sins.
2 Corinthians 8:9 "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich" (NKJV)
Jesus literally went from heaven's throne to a little stable.
The word CHRISTMAS has been emptied of its meaning, dragged through the gutter, & given back to us MINUS its power. At this time of the year, some prefer to use the more politically correct term like "Happy Holidays", "Merry XMAS" or even "Happy Winter Solstice". For a person who says Merry Christmas and do not know what it really means, those things are not as bad.
Our version of Christmas that is filled with hype and endless activities that leads to exhaustion should be stopped, the version that gives little thought about Christ.
We should cancel Christmas and rather celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. I believe in Christmas but not as our culture celebrates it. The real meaning of it is the birth of our Lord.
Christmas might be tough for you this year. Maybe you think this year is not as good as the year before. But if you free yourself from all the pressure of having to get stuff, you can experience a BETTER Christmas. Or maybe the MOST wonderful Christmas of your life.
The message of the season is not "Let it snow", not "let us shop, til you drop", but "LET US WORSHIP". This is what the wise men came to do, so should we.
Why I shared with you my dear friend's Facebook post......it is inspiring.
I hope it inspired you too.....

May you have a Merry CHRISTmas!
